Gym wipes for home gyms and small studios, made for cardio machines, benches, dumbbells, kettlebells, mats and bars.

What you wipe your equipment with ends up on your skin. These sit in the middle ground exactly where a gym wipe belongs - stronger than a body wipe, gentler than a multi-surface cleaning wipe. Simple plant-powered ingredients, no unnecessary chemicals.

Free of the alcohol, bleach, ammonia and aggressive solvents that crack vinyl, cloud screens and rust metal, so your equipment lasts longer.

Made in the USA.

A short list on purpose. Every ingredient is there to clean, preserve or balance - nothing else.

Full ingredient list: Water, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate.

Vapor Fresh gym equipment wipes for home gym

Quats, or quaternary ammonium compounds, are harsh chemicals known to cause skin, lung and reproductive health concerns. Not something you want around your body. They are found in most household cleaning products, but never Vapor Fresh.

Many ingredients in cleaning products can deteriorate gym equipment - alcohol, bleach, ammonia and aggressive solvents, just to name a few. These ingredients can cause the vinyl on your gym bench to crack, they can discolor screens and they can rust metals. Vapor Fresh avoids all the usual suspects, ensuring your gym equipment lasts as long as possible.

What you clean your gym equipment with will come in direct contact with your body. In that regard, the safety profile of a gym wipe should be closer to a face or body wipe than a multi-surface cleaning wipe. But they need to be able to clean more serious messes.

Most traditional household cleaning wipes were never formulated to come in direct and prolonged contact with your skin and your body. But that's exactly what happens when you clean your gym equipment with them.

As a family business, we are obsessed with quality. We are constantly tweaking and improving our products. Many wipes on the market are produced overseas with questionable quality controls. These wipes are Made in America, with attention to detail and tight quality controls.

Household wipes ruin equipment.
Vapor Fresh doesn’t.

Household wipes were built for counters and tiles. Your equipment is vinyl, plastic, metal and nylon - and comes in constant contact with your skin.

Born in the rink.
Proven everyday.

In 2008 I played hockey at University of Maryland. My hockey pads made my dorm smell like a locker room. Traditional sprays wrecked my gear or wrecked my skin. So I created a better cleaning spray for sports gear called Vapor Fresh. Today, our products are used by gyms, athletes, families and teams nationwide.

FAQs

How are these different from the household wipes I already have?

Household wipes were built for counters, tile and glass. Your equipment is vinyl, plastic, rubber and metal, and it spends hours against your skin. These wipes are made for those materials. They contain no quats, alcohol, bleach or synthetic fragrance, they leave no residue, and the ingredient list is short enough to read in five seconds. They're made in the USA by a brand that has made sports and gym cleaning products since 2008.

Do these actually clean, or are they just a wet cloth?

They clean. The active cleaner is a plant-derived surfactant (caprylyl/capryl glucoside) that lifts sweat, body oils, chalk and grime off the surface so the wipe carries it away. The formula leaves out the quats, alcohol and bleach that household wipes rely on. Every ingredient is there to clean, preserve or balance the formula, and nothing else is added.

What can I use these on?

You can use them on anything in your home gym or studio. That includes benches and upholstery, dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, grips and handles, weight machines, treadmills, spin bikes, rowers and yoga mats. The formula is water-based and pH-balanced for plastic, metal, rubber and vinyl. On bare steel or cast iron, follow with a dry towel, as you would after any water-based cleaner.

Are they safe on touchscreens and vinyl benches?

Yes. The alcohol, bleach, ammonia and aggressive solvents that cloud screens and dry out or crack vinyl are left out of the formula. For screens and consoles, wipe gently and avoid pressing liquid into seams, ports or buttons. If your equipment manufacturer gives specific screen-care instructions, follow those.

Will they leave a sticky or slippery residue?

No. Household wipes often leave a film that makes grips tacky or benches slick. These dry clean, with no sticky or slippery coat. The surface air dries in moments, so you can move straight to your next set.

Can I use them on my skin?

They're made for equipment, not as a body or face wipe. Whatever you clean your equipment with ends up on your skin during your next workout, so we kept the formula gentle. It's quat-free and alcohol-free, and the Unscented version has no fragrance at all. That makes them stronger than a body wipe and gentler than a household cleaning wipe.

How long does a canister last, and will the wipes dry out?

Each canister holds 100 wipes measuring 8" x 7", which is big enough to do a bench or a full set of handles with one wipe. At one or two wipes per workout and four or five workouts a week, a canister lasts roughly two to three months. Close the lid firmly after every use and the wipes stay moist to the bottom of the canister.
